MediaTek Beats Qualcomm to Become Leader in US Android Smartphone Chipset Market: Report

MediaTek has reportedly overtaken Qualcomm as the largest supplier of semiconductor chips for Android smartphones in the US. As per a report by IDC, MediaTek may have either 51 percent or 48.1 percent market share in supplying SoCs, beating Qualcomm. However, Counterpoint reports that Qualcomm may still be the market leader.
